She and her husband chose to move out of the artist complex into the town of La Romana. They had the opportunity to interact with the regular town community there, and that was very valuable for them. She rode a scooter to work every day, and she crossed the Rio Dulce every day. This painting was painted from the vantage point of the bridge that crossed it. They lived in the
