Armand Heitz Volnay 1er Carelle Sous Chapelle 2020 givry-1er-cru The Punt Road 2014 BotrytisVolnay has a reputation for making more feminine wines than Pommard. Never trust conventional wisdom. Depending on the plot of land, the type of plant, the growing method and the vinification, styles can vary greatly. The domaines philosophy is to let the terroirs personality express itself as much as possible. This Volnay is serious and powerful. I find the style quite similar to that of Taillepieds.
