Landed in France on 10 Jan 1916 to 26 Feb 1917 when he was transferred to England as a Cadet and was commissioned 21 Jun 1918. He returned to France on 8 Apr 1918 with 18 DAC attached to A 82nd Brigade RFA. On 7 Aug
