Engraved D2 Hunting Knife with Cut Scrollwork and Burl Wood Handle Woods This piece translates that lineageThe engraved D2 hunting knife sets hand cut scrollwork against hard tool steel. D2 came out of the die trade rather than the knife trade. It runs high in carbon and near twelve percent chromium. That chemistry buys an edge that holds through long work. The blade stays plain polished with no layering. Cut vines run along the spine and around the ricasso. A dense engraved panel fills the bolster behind them. Bright steel throws those dark lines forward.
